baey-s-ed (based). we wanted to play up plant-based and ethically-based but in a cool and fun way. bonus: when you look up the word basd in urban dictionary it means doing what you want, when you want, without caring what others think (which is what we are all about)

where are basd body care products made?
we are proudly Canadian and work with local suppliers to source, curate, produce and ship all of our products throughout Canada and the usa.

do you test on animals?
no way! only on our founders, their friends and family and other beautiful, consenting, human bodies. we're leaping bunny certified. 

are you vegan?
we proudly use only plant-basd ingredients to create beautiful products for your beautiful bod but we are still working on our vegan certification.

are your bottles and pouches recyclable?

i have a nut allergy. can i use basd body care products?
safety first, gorgeous. our best advice is to always check with your doctor before using. your beautiful body may not be able to benefit from our coffee body scrubs as we use almond oil but, depending on the severity of your allergy, you can check out our body washes and body lotions which has shea butter. check out https://allergicliving.com/experts/shea-nut-butter-safe-tree-nut-allergy/.

are you gluten-free?
we are but, like anything, if you have a severe allergy we recommend checking with your doctor first and always doing a patch test.  

can i use your products if i’m pregnant or nursing?
like any product for expectant and new moms, we recommend that you consult your doctor before using. once you get the green light, we love the body scrub for reducing the appearance of stretch marks, and the body lotion will keep your delicate skin hydrated during nine months (and beyond!) of not-so-delicate moments.

i think i might be allergic to the products. what should I do?
the first step is to temporarily stop using the products and see your physician. if you have sensitive skin, we recommend a patch test before using the products.

I have sensitive skin, can I use your products?
our best advice is to do a patch test first. But because we are toxin free and use natural ingredients we find most babes don’t have an issue.

what is your vanilla fragrance made of?
fragrances can get a bad rap but ours is actually natural and made from essential oils! to get the indulgent vanilla scent, we use a blend of essentials oils comprising of orange oil, lemon oil, cinnamal (what makes cinnamon smell), peppermint oil, courmarin and nerol (from lemon grass). who knew!?

the pump on my lotion/wash isn't working. what can i do?
first of all, sorry to hear that it happened, but things do break. we have two helpful videos here outlining how to fix a pump top that has fallen off or a pump that has stopped working.

how do I store basd coffee scrubs?
we like keeping it in our showers, as it's one less thing to put under the counter (and is a good reminder to get dirty often). our bags are waterproof so they can handle the moisture, but keep the bag tightly sealed and out of direct water when not in use.

how long will the scrub stay fresh?
an unopened package of basd coffee body scrub will last up to 18 months, but why would you wait that long to open it? once opened, remember to always reseal tightly, and keep out of direct water or steam. if you're using it as directed, you should get 8 to 10 scrub-downs out of a bag.

will the coffee scrub clog my drain?
it may look messy, but it's worth it! and it's all natural and safe to put down the drain.

what if I get the scrub in my eyes?
ouch! but don't panic: the scrub is all natural. we recommend rinsing your peepers thoroughly with water a few times over a 3-5 minute period to get the grounds out.

will the coffee scrub stain my skin or towels?
we love getting dirty but, like most babes, hate doing laundry! we've worked hard to make sure our products only leave you with silky smooth skin, not stained ones! for best results, though, wash up with our body wash and rinse thoroughly after scrubbing.

can I use the body wash as a shampoo?
while it wasn’t formulated as a shampoo, our products are so clean you can confidently use them all over. the extra bounce you get from the wash may just be a pep in your step, and not volume in your hair.

can i send basd to a friend?
yes! and you are the type of friend we all want to have! let us know that you want to send your order as a gift and include their shipping details, but let us know your email and billing information. take it one step further and get your order gift-wrapped, with a handwritten love note included.

what's your refund and return policy?
we love our products, but we love our basd fans even more. if you are not in love with it for any reason, reach out to us at info@basdbodycare.com. we will make it right and keep our relationship tight. this is within 10 days of receiving your order. 

shipping errors: sometimes accidents happen (no one is perfect) and we cherish the learning. but if our products arrive damaged, incorrect or if we forgot something, then we messed up on shipping. let us know, and we will make it right. 

we want our love to be effortless, so if you have any suggestions or concerns, let us know.

just like any strong, independent partner in a relationship, if we feel like we are being taken advantage of or lied too, we will end it, and reserve the right to not give you a refund.

how much is shipping? 
shipping is free on any order over $30 to Canadians! expedited packages can be arranged for an additional fee, determined by our friends at Canada Post and other national carriers.

how long does shipping take?
